Lets give it up for the flight attendant!

Flight Attendant Escapes!

First of all, this is one of the greatest stories I've heard on the news in quite some time. What a great way to run out of your job... unless of course you're looking for a reference.

Today I worked a 9 hour shift without even a small break. After endless hours of putting on a smile and acting like a bubbly overeager girl ready to serve, really the only thing I want to do is slap the next person in the face who asks me to do something for them. I think everyone gets a little sick of work once in a while... or often. Who wouldn't want to go out the way that this guy did? If I had the money, I'd have bailed this guy out just because he is awesome and I think what he did was ballsy and hilarious. Serves that woman right, I hope she thinks twice next time she plans to yell at someone for doing their JOB.

Sometimes it's the smallest things in your day that can matter the most. When someone is serving you, be sure to treat them with respect. Sure it may be their job to serve you, but they are working just as hard as you do to earn their way through life. Even just a simple smile and a thank you or you did a great job! can mean the most in a person's day. After a day of several horrible nightmare tables in a shift, sometimes all it takes is one great table to turn my day around! Remember this next time you go out to eat or to get a drink.

One Year

John Andrew Mcdaniel 3/24/88 - 8/09/09

I can't believe it has officially been an entire year since the world lost such a wonderful person... It seems like only yesterday I was singing alongside him in church choir as giddy little elementary school kids cracking jokes all day. While the time has been slow, it has also flown by. Although we would do anything to get to spend more time with John, we can all relive our best memories of him each day and enjoy that we had as much time as we did. Last night at midnight Amy and I took a John bomb for you buddy! I know you wouldn't expect anything less on a Sunday evening ; ) Keep looking over us all

New York City, New York Pretty

A week after leaving the greatest city in the world, and I still can't wait to get back! All I can think about is counting down the months, weeks, days till I will be living there. Now to relive the adventures of last week....

After the terrible airport debacle of Thursday evening, Friday went much smoother. I like to think the horrible incident of Thursday lead me to have one of the best trips of my life! On the plan I got to sit in a seat next to NO ONE which is great for me because I hate being cramped on planes. Also, I got to sit on the sit of the plane that faces the entire city instead of just water. How lucky am I? I got to see the Statue of Liberty and all of New York City before even landing!

A lovely salad and unpacking later, Bre and I were off the the Metropolitan Museum of Art where we scampered around like tourists following large heards of Asians through the building. My favorite part? Either the impressionists paintings (always a favorite) or the roof top where we got a great view of the big city itself!

Friday night begin with my favorite place of the week, Angels and Kings, which happens to be the bar created by Pete Wentz. Aside from the live bands and strong drinks, Breann and I met some really cool people. This is definitely a bar that she and I will have to frequent when I move. The rest of the evening didn't last long since we were rookies having not drank in so long!

Saturday I got to go to the famous Central Park and experience the wrath of walking for about 45 minutes before even reaching a large chunk of the park. Of course the park was as amazing as the movies make it out to be, in fact, it's way bigger than I ever even imagined. Saturday night ended in a wild bar crawl through the lower east side, my favorite area!

As my trip came to an end, I wanted nothing more than to stay forever. Come the end of May and graduation, I can't wait to begin my life in New York City with Breann. She will have a big head start, but we will take the city by storm either way!
